I always wondered when someone would finally ask me this! haha. Catchoo comes from my name Catherine Chu. It was a nickname a friend gave me. Before I made catchoo it’s own separate doodle blog, I would post it on my personal main blog. But as my pictures started gradually getting large amounts of notes and I got more asks to do them, I knew I should make my personal and my doodles separate.
So because I already watermarked them with ‘catchoo’ already, I didn’t want the credits stolen so I kept with that name in making it a linked tumblr & changed my main personal blog url.
It wouldn’t have been my first choice for a name.. but it has my own name incorporated at least and once, someone even told me a corny quote to go with the corny pictures I make which was “if you ever fall, I’ll catchoo.” LOL
Anonymous asked: what are other good pens with the same thickness as the ones you use in your drawings? i can't stand the smell of sharpies. Do you know if the papermate flair pens are any good? thanks!
I use Sharpies. Regular colored sharpies or Bic Mark It Markers. I used to not be able to stand the smell either, but now that I’ve been drawing so many doodles for you guys, I’m used to the smell now LOLS.
I’m not sure of others with the same thickness though, you can try papermate, I’ve never used them before so I wouldn’t know 0:
If you still want to use Sharpie though - you can use the water based paint, which is pretty pricey but it has no smell and works really nice!

@Anonymous: You can do them too without a doubt! My doodles are very basic. I can usually freehand but since i’m trying to make them perfect for you guys, I make them with pencil first just in case of mess ups, and then I’ll outline with sharpie. Hahah I’m not sure about the video, but I can do the handwriting thing later when I have time :) Thank you!

Where love and cute come together.
I am an aspiring illustrator residing in the DMV area. I make love related quote pictures as fun little doodles for your enjoyment. I haven't been updating as much as I have currently, due to my overwhelming senior year. I promise however, I will update from time to time and eventually be back to create doodles for you guys more often.
